After graduating from NYU, CAROLINA finds herself back home in Niteroi, Brazil. Surrounded by nature and beautiful beaches, Carolina is miserable in the town she thinks is only good for its view of Rio de Janeiro 20 miles away. When her college boyfriend proposes, she says yes and heads back to the US on a fiancé Visa. To her disappointment, TOM has moved to Hoboken, New Jersey - a town she thinks is only good for its view of New York City 5 miles away. Life is close enough to perfect for Carolina until Tom calls off the engagement after falling in love with someone else. With only 60 days left on her fiancé Visa, Carolina has to find a new way to stay in New York and follow her dream - whatever that is.
